Fiumicino is best known for its access to the Eternal City through Leonardo Da Vinci International Airport. Despite this recent claim to fame, Fiumicino includes several archaeological sites around the ancient harbors of Ostia and Portus. It's also an important fishing center and summer resort, especially along the beaches and coves of Isola Sacra.
Hosting the busiest airport in Italy and the sixth busiest in Europe, the town has grown in a series of services that fit with these suburban functions. Examples are the Fiera di Roma conference center, or the Parco Leonardo recreation center.
The town of Fiumicino is 20 miles from central Rome, while Da Vinci Airport is 19 miles away from the Italian capital. The remains of Ostia Antica are less than 6 miles away.
Like many airports in the world, you can find hotels in Fiumicino Airport directly on its premises, providing effortless access to your flights.
Since most Fiumicino hotels are in the Isola Sacra area, you might get the chance to enjoy the Tyrrhenian beaches and the tasty Italian seafood.

We stayed one night at Il Piccolo before our flight home.
We stayed one night at Il Piccolo before our flight home. The accommodation was really close to the airport and Costantino helped me organise a shuttle to the airport.
The place was lovely and clean and the communication was very good. Breakfast was supplied and it was amazing.
As we had a late flight we were able to leave our luggage at the place while we explored Fiumicino.
Would highly recommend Il Piccolo.

Fiumicino is a charming and real town without the trappings of tourism. There are plenty of restaurants, bars and shops that seem to cater to more locals than tourists. It was fun to wander about and soak up the atmosphere of this real fishing town.

The location close to the airport was good for us and the time that we had available.
The port was a short walk away and had good restaurants and a nice vibe.
The breakfast was OK, simple and adequate for us. It would have been improved if we had access to more than just a kettle and coffee machine as we got a takeaway pizza and had no plates. Would suggest that other travellers eat at the pizza shop itself.

We often choose to stay in Fiumicino as a staging area either upon arrival or departure from Roma (FCO airport). It has a sort of edgy border town vibe to it that makes it feel more authentic. It has a nice promenade along the mouth of the river with many cafes, bars, & restaurants; you can fall into a bad tourist place or find a nice authentic trattoria, and also some very posh establishments; most featuring local fish.
It is close to the airport so it's convenient and the prices for a room are lower than going into Rome proper.

Not an airport hotel..
Not an airport hotel..
Arrived by taxi late as shuttle had finished for the night.
I thought the price of my room was great value
Until…
I added my taxi ride from the airport €30 then the following day shuttle back to the airport €10
I should have stayed at the 4star option beside the airport as it would have been less expensive

It reminds me of the beautiful city of Trieste on north-east Italian coast. Walking to the sea while seeing la bella porta. There were many restaurants in Fiumicino. Many of them sea-based. You will find good priced napoletana pizaa and some more interesting italian restuarants.
I will come to visit this beautiful city again. instead of just bella roma
Hotel was a good value for overnight stays on both the front and back end of our trip. Very conveniently located to the Fiumicino Airport. Cost was 25 Euros by taxi from the airport and only 20 Euros (charged by hotel) for a ride back to the airport the next day. While the facility is older, it was very clean and comfortable. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Nice continental breakfast. Nice pizzeria just down the street and a grocery store a few blocks away.
This hotel is beautiful. It is like a resort just minutes away from Rome Fiumicino airport. Great staff, especially Andrea G. who could not have been more helpful and kind to us. Will definitely stay here again! A great location and place to relax for a night or many days with great accessibility to nearby beaches and the airport. The hotel itself has gorgeous swimming pool, beautiful grounds and a great restaurant and bar. We are so thrilled to have found this place!
Family owned friendly staff. Hotel and room were extremely clean. Beautifully decorated with lots of fine details. The grounds were walled in with locked gate. Nicely landscaped with a screened room with seating and hammock. our room had a balcony /terrace. Beautiful updated bathroom. hotels sits in a safe residential neighborhood. a few blocks from water that has many restaurants . There are many boats that come in with catch for day that local and restaurants buy.
I wish every hotel knew how to host their gests like this one.
Getting there from the airport took less than 5 minutes by taxi. The room has everything you need, a good bed, good shower, professional hair dryer (ok, you don´t need this, but you have it), and is spotless clean.
Katty was so kind to leave things for us to eat, even though we would miss breakfast for leaving at 4 am.
If you need to stay in Fiumicino for whatever reason, I recommend this place!
Very well run family hotel . Fantastic rooms . Very clean . The staff is very helpful . Great location close to the Fiumicino airport , but also very convenient to get to Rome with the express train from Fiumicino to Rome : 25 minutes . The hotel also offer a shuttle to the airport . Ask for a suite on a third floor : very large terrasse with seating area and jacuzzi at an additional cost but private and personal . Nice breakfast included in the price .
The hotel is conveniently located not far (15 mins drive) from the Fiumicino airport. It is very nice, modern and spacious. The staff was friendly and they also prepared a breakfast box for us, given that we would have missed the breakfast. Lovely!
Everything was clean, the mattresses firm enough and comfortable, and the rooms very quite. There's also a restaurant and a bar.
Everything Is perfect here, especially if you are travelling. One Railway stop from Fiumicino Airport and well connected with Roma Tiburtina in Town. The quarter Is quiet, the apartment has a lot of light as It Is on the seventh floor, It has a beautiful terrace and It Is full of nice details. Good breakfast. Very good assistance during your stay, good restaurant nearby.
Hotel a few minutes walk to the seafront and only 10 minutes drive to Fiumicino airport. Shuttle bus runs from the airport to and from the hotel at 7 euros pp. This hotel is good value for money. Rooms and facilities good. Really clean. Had to leave early in the morning so cannot comment on breakfast. A private and secure car park if you have a vehicle.
We expected to be in an industrial airport area, but were pleasantly surprised to find the hotel alongside a river with a beautiful path and lots of food options to choose from. The room was spacious and bathroom modern with a large shower.
The shuttle to Fiumicino Airport was 5euro per person, which we thought was very reasonable.
Very convenient as it's just about 10 min train ride from Fiumicino Airport and train station is just next to the hotel. Nothing much around hotel except for a mall with some retail shops, Ikea, a supermarket and some fast food to pass the time. Room is decent for a one night stopover for a connecting flight.
A great place to stay if you have a morning flight out of the Rome Airport (FCO). Shuttle takes less than 10 minutes to get from the hotel to the airport. Yet it is a world away in Fiumicino. A relaxed seaport town with lots of seafood restaurants. Hotel seemed fairly new and the facilities were impressive.
Lovely modern hotel close to the airport. Very easy to get to. Extremely clean. Very nice staff. Good range of microwaveable food if like me you arrived too late for the local restaurants. Great shuttle service. Wonderfully comfortable beds. Yes if they are all like this, B&B Hotels have a winning formula.
Such a nice cozy hotel, 5 minutes by taxi from the airport (FCO). The staff is amazing, fantastic breakfast, they even gifted us with a complimentary small bottle of home made liquor. Much better than the big chains, a true Italian experience in the heart of Fiumicino town.
The room was excellent. It was a bit pricey but probably not out of the range for a close to the Fiumicino Rome airport hotel. The attached restaurant was great and reasonably priced, especially their breakfast buffet which cost only 10 euros per person.
Very comfortable room for an airport hotel while much cheaper than the other hotels. But most of all, super support of the person running it! Very friendly and helpful, drives you to the airport himself whenever you need.
Very nice location in Fiumicino, near the seaside, a lot of restaurants and shops. The hotel has a shuttle from/to the airport. Good breakfast. Big room and nice balcony.
